X Uncontrollable Lies

Shattered dreams, and silent smoke
Rises from the fiery floor
Flames, symbols, of lost hope
And I don't like you anymore

Building blocks of endless time
Lie among the ruins of peace
Drenched in blood, my faithless crime
My failing mind has lost belief

Forever more, I'll hold the stain
Scar of a drunken memory
Stalked by this inner pain
The world is now my enemy

Losing sense of right and wrong
As all trace of pity dies
In a place I don't belong
Controlled by uncontrollable lies

    Very nice poem. I really liked the descriptive words you used. Very powerful adjectives,, giving the reader a more vivid image. I also liked how you ended with a paradox, very nice touch.
