Who steals the sandals
the shirts or the pants
from God

& comes back
with those gems
on Earth

should work hard
to transcribe
what he has stolen

symphonies, paintings
new quantum theories
& chemical formulas

no thieves can walk along
the streets alone with
a serene mind anymore

a twinge in his head or
a bang in his heart remind him
God wants his stuff back!
