Her eyes glisten
like dew on the morning flower
but she is not mine
she left me begging her to stay

we had talked for hours
but then she left
she said she would email
and everyday I checked

then one day I gave up
I emailed her
I wrote that if she liked me
she should email me

so I have decided that
I shall give her a chance
but not for long
just three days

she was a good friend
I wish she was still
it has been two days
since we have last talked

but it feels so much longer
to me it has been years
it maybe an eternity
or it may have been longer

but soon I will not care
one day I will move on
