Menow

by Lecadia   May 6, 2006

No, he won't go
With a sigh, he'll stay
Just because everyone
Wants him to go away
Oh, little Menow
With that glint in your eye
Laying at your river
Rolling innocence by
Yet no one will care
They all feel this hate
Fearing his awakening
And bearing this weight
Awake in this night
He runs away
Slaughtering the children
In bed, as they lay
Yet when awoken
He will not know
Because none of this memory
Ever does show
It all hides away
In the back of his mind
No matter how they tell
These thoughts, he can't find
Then how he wishes
How he wishes he knew
Then again in the night
He'll slaughter the more few
Then more and then more
Each night and again
He cannot help it
Again then, and then
They all shed their anger
They all shed their hate
Paying his debts
All ever so late
Oh how he wish
He wish he could leave
Leave this hell town
Get it all off his sleeves
But he cannot go
He's bound to this town
From the magic within
In his own power, now

    I love your poetry Mike.
    >>However....I think you might want to organize it a little better. You can still write free verse its just that you poetry isn't that short and it is easy to lose interest in a poem with no organization.

P.S. I finished the book you let me borrow. I was very.......well.....interesting haha.
I liked the ending with the twist
but the sex scenes were a little weird.
