My diary

A small book
of many pages,
most of them empty at the time.

lines of my sorrows,
my fears,
my joys,
my many unvoiced secrets.

words i cannot speak aloud
for fear of a fallout
or for whatever childish reason.
all that i want to keep to myself.

a small friend,
an understanding ear to listen,
a friend who cares
and gives me a refuge
and lets me tell everything
and keeps it all for me
so that i don't break
and tell the wrong people
at the wrong time.

my plans,
my thoughts,
my wishes,
my hopes,
my dreams.
