If asked one dying wish

by Bianca   May 6, 2006

If asked one dying wish
It would be
For those I loved the most
To love
As I loved
Without judgment
Without fear
Without question
If asked one dying wish
I wouldn't ask to live
But for those I love
To love in blindness
Love without vein
Love without protection
To love
As I loved
I loved with passion
So deep and sincere
It couldn't be questioned
But as I look back I wonder
I wonder if those I loved
Those I sacrificed for
Loved me with such intensity
With such-
Love has no age
No face
Love is imperfect
Because it protects no one
So sad to be its flaw
Love to me-
Is a child taking its first step
Love to me-
Is a man finding life at the bottom of a bottle
Love to me-
Is a woman watching her grandchild be born
Love to me-
Is the reason we live and die
The reason we breathe
The reason we are alive
Love is stronger
Love is smarter
Love is faster
Than any of us could imagine being
Love in its purest form
Unconditional
Is why we wake up in the morning
Love can't be defined
Anyone who tries cannot capture a meaning
So worthy
I have took time to understand this
And why I wish a wish
Tonight under the stars
That upon my dying
My loves
The ones I loved the most
Love in a way I loved them
