When you look at me

by Bianca   May 6, 2006

Eyes behold truth
All insecurities, fears, and lies escape through them
In the form of a tear they tell their story
Tears leave signatures-with pens that scar the eye-
And through it all, the innocence in that same eye reveal secrets your heart couldnt store,
But you,
I can't read-
Your eyes are built like walls-
It hurts for our eyes to meet-
blank, emotionless-
you would think you were born yesterday- with-
No past, or memories- or even
Evidence of life, both heartache and happiness
Are you shallow or numb?-
Maybe you don't feel-
A mother,
My mother
A mystery not worthy of solving

*I wrote this a while back- and my views have changed since, and I love my mother dearly, and I thank the universe or God for her.

Wow buddie!!! i loved how you used the eyes as your subjects detailer. i loved how you described how emotions, memories, and what now are all seen not only thru the eyes of those behold them, but to all others who look into the eyes of the beholder. just great. 5/5
