Lost love

by Brittany Hampson   May 6, 2006

I stepped out in the light, so brave and so bold, but the chill in the air came forth to unfold,it gripped at my hear, so real was the fact, your love and compassion were obviously lacked....

I asked not in words to return what I felt, but dreamed of the day when your heart I could melt, I gambled my heart with this love that I gave, and bittersweet memories are all that were saved...

Now my broken heart, though wounded and sad, must find its way back to the time it was glad. The love that was lost, I know I'll survive, it's my confirmation that love is alive...

We have no control , when hearts hold the reigns, taking our chances on passion or pain, We tumble and fall with heart over mind, it isn't as simple as we are inclined.

It's poetry in motion when love is returned, and ever so painful when being adjourned.
Yes we're aware of the gamble we take, but experiencing love is not a mistake.

through faith we climb on this fide of the heart , fully aware of its price from the start.
We're willing to let our hearts lead us on as we gamble emotions with love as the pawn.
