What Would I Do Without You

by Tammy   May 6, 2006

What would I do without you?
I didn't used to think I knew
but now...
I know exactly what I'd do.

I'd love my life more than I have in years
dry my eyes, wipe away all the tears.
My smiles no longer would have to be fake
I'd laugh until my stomach ached.
I'd see the joys in the little things again
and realize how dismal my life had been.
I'd curl up on the sofa with a good book
without worrying about you giving me that look.
I'd play lazer tag with the kids all night
never fearing it would cause a fight.
I'd make the most of every day I'm given
& love every moment of the life I'm livin'.

Wonderful poem. I bet it meant a lot to write this.

"I'd love my life more than I have in years
dry my eyes, wipe away all the tears."

^^ I really liked those lines. I've been in a relationship like that. Sometimes there are just people who hurt you and you don't realize it until you really get to think about it. Great poem.
