Different

I never was any different
I never wanted to be
But now that you're all staring
Can't you see it's me?

The girl you've always known?
That's always been there?
Right behind you waiting
Did you really even care?

I'm not a leader
Don't try to make one out of me
I would just mess things up
Can't I make you see?

Your blind to the obvious
And deaf to the clear
But then again I am too
Is that why I'm here?

Is it because I'm the same as you?
But that can't be so
Were all different in our own special way
I should be the one to know

Most people lie,
Some people blame
That the outside is what's different
But on the inside were all the same

Some people can't be trusted
Other people watch over you
Some people command things
They can't tell me what to do

I try to do the right thing
Is that such a bad thing to do?
You tell me not to do it
But don't realize I'm protecting you

I tell you I have to do this
If I don't who will?
I must protect them from these people
The people that want to kill

I now realize I am different
But then again aren't we all?
So if you need someone different
All you have to do is call

*i'm not really sure what this poems supposed to mean, i just wrote it when i was really bored, but i guess it's just that in life, everyone's different and it's ok to be.
