The night will go on

Alone in her room she cries
as she puts away the bloody knife
and still nobody notices
but the nights will go on.

At school she just laughs it off
while she tries to hide the scars
but she knows that tonight will be the same
but her night will go on.

she always seems happy, so perfect
but they don't know that tonight
she will bleed once again
but her night will go on.

she cries out for help
because she's finally had enough
she wants to die
but the night will go on.

she sets the date
it won't hurt for much longer
she cries waiting for it all to end
but this night goes on.

The night is coming closer
and she feels some comfort
knowing its only five days
and this night goes on.

she starts her letter
apologizing to everybody
for letting them all down.
but this night will go on.

Three days left and still
at night she cries and cuts
waiting for the night she dies
but this night will go on

Two days; she's still smiling
but I know she means it
for the first time her smile is real
and this night goes on.

Tomorrow she will be gone
and no one will see it coming
but for the rest of the world
the night will go on.
