Beneath Willow

by Raychil   May 8, 2006

Down beneath the willow tree
With branches low and shaded
You'll feel a sadness coming from it
A feeling of distance and somehow faded

There you'll see a man
At the same time every day
It makes some people curious
But they just walk away

He falls onto the ground
The tears pour from his eyes
A single rose falls from his hand
And he lets go of his cries

"Oh why did you take her away"?
He'll say through the tears
He'll mumble this and that
Until the end of day nears

That is when he'll leave
And say a small prayer
He'll stand up from his spot
And leave to who knows where

But if you decide to go and see
What it is he visits each day
Beneath that shaded tree
You'll quickly turn away

For there you'll find a stone
With roses that he gave
And when you take a closer look
You'll see that its a grave

His daughter died beneath that tree
She was very sick
Though she tried to press on
I guess her time was picked

So next time you pass that willow tree
With branches low and shaded
You'll understand the sadness
Of the life that has faded

*this was another thing from English. only I didn't remember it all so I just did my best to re-write it.
