The Colors of Spring

by peter   May 8, 2006

I followed her through the field of lush green
Power and grace were in her promenade
Olive tree, apple tree, bloom this period
But her looks is a far-reaching mien
The trees bloom white, magenta, and bright green
Dazzling the field with bursting lush shade
Of colors, that only nature have made
Reaching at her sacredness routine
Only to fall short like the seasons' colors
The vivacious tinge of brilliant shades
Will soon lie onto the dark hue of earth
Still, as the tree sprout illuminated colors
She wanders untouchable as spring fades
I followed, as she graces before earth

I really did like this poem, I thought it was a beautiful mixture of love and nature. Everything you write is being brought to life with your excellent word choice. And I think bringing a poem from words and making it feel alive is what sets some writers apart.
