Through The Lie

by Felicia Tursi   May 8, 2006

Never thought I'd want it this bad,

Never thought I'd want to die.

Never thought I'd get through it,

If it wasn't for this one guy.

He helped me at my weakest,

He saw the pain I hid.

Behind my fake smile,

These crazy things I did.

One, two, three, another slide,

Of the razor in my bed.

He helped me hold back,

With all the things he said.

But yet I need to feel,

The pain and stinging.

They just made me feel better,

To him they had no meaning.

But I couldn't help but cut,

Couldn't help but cry.

Couldn't help but need it,

But he saw through the lie.

I really like this poem... he seems to be like the rescuer of the story. If this is true, then I'm very sorry that you feel the need to hurt yourself. If you ever need someone to talk to, I'm always here. As for the poem, it had beautiful structure and I loved the rhyming pattern. Keep up the great writing and take care!
