She wakes up sobbing silently
It's way past dark just after three
Out of the window it continues to rain
Lightning flashes time and again
~
From head to toe she's drenched all over
Perspiration formed in just under an hour
Trembling less from cold and more from fear
She constantly feels that he's somewhere near
~
Each time she closes her eyes and cringe
His curly-locks blond, slightly tinged
Those menacing eyes that pierce her heart
Keeps replaying over right from the start
~
She slams a nearby mirror flat down
Breaking into pieces when it hits the ground
Hysterically she runs and hides in the wardrobe
This living nightmare she can never seem to cope
~
Her thoughts run while and suddenly she sees
Herself in his room - This can't be!
He smiles wickedly and licks his lips
The grotesque grin gives her the creeps
~
Locking the door he takes his time
She tries to flee but her limbs are bound
He starts mimicking like a pantomime
Undressing imaginary clothes with no sound
~
She tries to scream but her voice seems hoarse
His gnarled hands start to caress her face
Bracing she struggles but he doesn't pause
Ripping her apart in a manner of disgrace
~
Suddenly, free are her legs and hands
How that happened she would never comprehend
But by then he's forcing himself on her
Everything moves so fast that it seems like a blur
~
She tries to push him off but to no avail
His immense strength causes her to fail
Her once pure body overpowered by his tainted lust
She could only regret from even giving him her trust
~
It was only a few weeks ago when they met
She was a young Parisian artiste who was a failure on the set
He was from Bordeaux, an aspiring actor
Entertainment was solely their common factor
~
Like Chardonnay his words got her coming back for more
Glib was his tongue that true love she thought she saw
His empty promises drew her closer to him
Her foolhardiness shrouded the truth so grim
~
And suddenly she was thrown back into reality
His sickening face grunting in pleasure for all to see
A large "BAM!" the door slammed open
A figure stood there, hands clutching a weapon
~
"You bastard!" shouted a familiar voice in fury
The heavy maul hit his skull with a sickening crack
The rapist's head imploded with a wound so messy
Both father and daughter left never looking back
~
Wrapping her in a blanket he clutched her close
How long they were huddled there - nobody knows
She sobbed on and on until exhaustion overcame her
His gentle touch chased away any form of fear
~
The wardrobe opens and he's standing there
Her papa's look full of worry and care
She embraces him with tears that streamed
He only said, "There, there...just a bad dream"
~
And so that night he stayed by her side
Tucking her into bed by the candlelight
Kissing her on her forehead he watched her slowly doze
She knew she could sleep for her father was close
