Last Waltz

by gabriel   May 8, 2006

These worn-out shoes upon my tired feet
Speak of steps we used to dance
Swaying to the rhythmic beat
Our eyes would meet in a dreamy trance

Our hands clasped like prayers so
My only confession that you should know
Every waltz we take is like a dream come true
Ever since that day I fell for you

Your almond eyes that reflects the sky
Your careless whisper into my ears
A million lifetimes can pass us by
I'll see the same face after all these years

We crisscross perfectly into each other's path
Those times we spent perfecting our craft
The music plays like a never ending fire
You are my one and only heart's desire

At last the song softens and ends
The stage is quiet: nothing commence
Out of a suddenly there is an uproar
The crowd cheers and ask for more

We come together in a long embrace
Our lips locked in that warm fuzzy taste
In the furore I hear nothing at all
With one last gesture the curtains fall
