Warm summer night
A little fog
A perfect view
The Hudson River,
and the sky line of NYC.
Before even walking through,
the giant glass, marble doors
The feeling
of an unforgetable night.
Through the doors,
entering the humungous building
An archway
Built from a thousand roses.
The night went by,
600 people,
An hour
of watching ceremonies,
listening to speeches,
and making toasts.
Then real fun.
Hundreds running,
and making their ways,
towards the dance floor.
Others sitting and watching,
waiting for the bride,
as a married women for the first time,
in her thousand dollar outfit.
Hours passed, many left.
Some on the dance floor
other on the wrap around porch,
husbands, wives,
boyfriends, girlfriends,
children, and friends.
Admiring the yachts,
and the view of the river.
3:00 A.M.
Everyone was gone but,
close family
sitting, conversing,
with the new husband and wife.
The limo arrived,
white and long.
Inside decorated,
roses hung all around and,
petals on the floor.
Here 3:00 A.M.
Outside millions still awake,
where the night is just beginning.
Another hour,
and everyone is gone.
Just a few hours ago
hundreds crowded the premices.
