Correct Me When I'm Wrong

Tell me when I say something rude
Correct me when I'm wrong
Cuz I'll never learn from my mistakes
If you continue to go along

I need you to be my teacher
Help me do things right
I am always trying my hardest
To be kind and polite

Everyone has those days
When things are just intense
I hope I don't hurt anyone
But at those times
I tend to think without much sense

I try to leave a smile
Lingering on my face
But when things go wrong
That smile can easily be replaced

I don't always know what I'm doing
When things get out of hand
I can tell you right now
These actions were never planned

Please forgive me
If I have ever wronged you
Sometimes I just don't know
What I'm getting myself into

I hate causing others pain
So tell me when I do
Your comments and concerns
I'm always open to

I rarely have a bad day
But sometimes it comes about
I try to live the best I can
Day in and day out

Thank you for being patient
It means a lot
If I ever hurt you
I'll apologize on the spot

    I like the rhymes, I thought they were funny and creative. I'm like that too, I always want to know if I do something wrong so I can learn from it. I always need to apologize. Good stuff, your poetry is so realistic. Written based on everyday situations. It seems you write for others, as well as yourself. Good stuff.
