Delight

by Gothic Princess   May 9, 2006

Delight is found in a hot cup of mocha coffee from Starbucks

Delight I find in sitting in the living room;
No one to bother me

Lying sprawled upon the sofa, pen flows across paper as the ocean that is my thoughts comes and goes

Delight is found, while drowning my happiness and fondness for life in strawberries and sugar
Teasing my taste buds
Give into my desires
Find myself, my hands wrapped around a hot cup of coffee, sweet smell fills my lungs, easing me as my thoughts flow

Delight is finding myself entwined in our gaze
Hopelessly tangled in your body, heart, thoughts, and soul

Delight is finding myself smiling for no other reason than for the fact that life is good

Delight is found in homemade peanut butter cookies, letting myself lose all of my problems
And ease into skies of blue

Delight is found in my one special place, the coffee shop

Alluring smell of coffee, cigarettes, sweat and emotion all tangle in my heart

Delight I find in days of summer, lost amid fields of rose, lilies, and tulips

Delight of awaking, birds singing, sunlight warming me, music fills my soul, I look over @ you and lose myself all over again

Delight is running through the sprinklers, as cool wet water falls upon my hot skin
Delight is those summer days that I long for,
Cant get enough of and yet somehow cant live without
