Carefree days of summer

by Gothic Princess   May 9, 2006

Shade under beautiful trees of summer
Lazy days spent passing life by
with laughter

soft chocolate ice cream melts in my mouth, eyes open with carefree days of a child’s dream

children run and play, I myself lay under cool trees, basking my feet in warmth

water falls from sprinklers
like drops of dew upon me
cooling my warm sticky body

sunlight peeks through the leaves above me
my heart beats still
the ocean that is my thoughts
fades with the tides of my oceanic brew

lazy days of summer
laying here in damp green grass
warm honey sun flows down upon me in a cascading waterfall of life

the clean scent of a day after summer rains fall, like me joyful tears from angel’s I play like a child in cool rain that saves my soul

cleanses my spirit and renews my fondness for life
carefree days of summer

clouds above me, take me away
rain from heaven’s waterfalls
I play in, warm sun upon my body, bringing me back

Back into myself, deep oceanic thoughts, my tide comes and goes
