Goodbye

When i used to look at him
my heart fluttered like a butterfly on the first day of spring
The look he used to give me was like waking up on Christmas morning and seeing everything you've ever wanted
what happened?
now when our eyes meet
my tears fall like acid rain
I want to scream i want to cry
but i cant let you know why
thats what you want
for me to hurt
let other see you treat me like dirt
but i wont let them see my tears
they know after these two years
I would see how you really were
but i cant
I'm not your dog, there was no leash
lessons in life to learn and teach
I'm beginning to see
my was blindfolded
but only temporarily
my heart is free it can roam around
