The Dance Goes On

by Dwight Towner   May 10, 2006

One glad morning we looked for you and you were gone.
But the dance goes on, and the song plays on.

As we celebrate the essence of you we shall not be sad,
Because it never will be the end
We shall celebrate your new journey,
Into the next life that you've been sent
While the dance goes on, and the song plays on.

Your legacy shall live on in our hearts, each passing day
May God keep you near the cross
We will always love you and good luck on your way.
As the dance goes on, and the song plays on.

We keep more than memories of you, yet we keep lessons on life
You taught us how to overcome without overlooking
How to give with no expectations of receiving
You taught us how to live and die with such grace and beauty
Now it's our turn to teach, and through us
The dance shall go on, and the song shall play on.
