Found In the Woods

by stargirl49   May 10, 2006

Birds sing in the trees,
squirrels break the silence with their chattering.
The ants are busy working,
the plants are all growing.
But it all goes unnoticed
while I'm with you.
In a secluded quiet alcove
deep within the woods,
we found the beginnings
of an unforeseen yet true love.
Distracted at first,
I turned back to you
and saw in your eyes
a breathtaking love so deep and pure,
I could scarcely believe it was real.
But when your lips sweetly touched my own,
all my doubts were quickly erased
for I had inadvertently found love in the woods.
In the midst of all the animals
busy with their daily lives,
our eyes were on each other
and our minds were on the love we had found.
Today I still feel your strong arms
around me, holding me in
a close tender embrace.
My mind says never to let you go,
and my heart shouts the same.
Forevermore our love will stay strong.
Forevermore our lips will taste the same.
Forevermore I hold you
precious within my heart.
Forevermore I'll remember that wonderful love
that I found in the woods.
