The Rain

by Raychil   May 10, 2006

Watch the rain from your window
You'll see it falling gently
A beauty you have never seen
You stare at it contently

The rain falls hard
The smell reaches your nose
It's a wonderful scent
Fragrant like a new rose

It's calming and soothing
That's what some people don't get
They think it's nasty and dreary
But things shimmer when wet

The rain makes them shine
That beauty the sun takes away
Yes they're nice in the sun
But rain keeps them that way

Dancing in the rain
Is a joy most won't know
But it's wonderful to be in
And jump in puddles as you go

Sometimes it can be sad
To watch it fall down
Plummeting without cease
And then it hits the ground

Like tears in your eyes
They fall down your face
Trickling down like rain
Then drying without a trace

But when you really think about it
It's not so bad you see
Just look what happens after the rain
A shimmering fantasy

With all rain comes sunlight
With all sunlight comes rain
You have to find a bright side
In the joy and through the pain

Look for that shinning wonderland
With that wonderful calming smell
Those puddles you love to jump in
Letting you know, all will be well.
