Rain Drops

by aDORKable x3   May 11, 2006

The pitter-patter of rain drops
Dropping at my feet
Dancing in the rain
The drops set the beat

The coolness of the mist
As it dances around the air
Feeling it all around me
Engulfing me there

Inspiration flowing over me
With every falling drop
Knowing this is where I belong
Hoping it never stops

The gurgling of the drain pipe
As is siphons the water below
Bringing it down, down, down
In a heavy, consistent flow

Dancing to ignore everything
To slip away from reality
If only for a few moments
There`s no place I`d rather be

I've always loved the rain, it's calming beating, slowly washing the world clean again. this poem has amazing expression and an almost carefree feeling to it. i think it has great expression. 5/5
