Time.

by Sally   May 11, 2006

Dig through time,
Now watch her wilt.
Stare into her eyes,
Now see them tilt.
The pain she felt,
You could not tell.
She's dying now,
She's looking pale.
It's not your fault,
I told myself.
Just get the medicine,
Look on the lower shelf.
Before she died,
She looked at me with glee.
That's when I realized,
This girl was me.

Usually I could pick up on an ending like this, but I got caught up in the flow and was surprised. Nice job.
