Missing Pieces

by Mel   May 11, 2006

It never ceases to amaze me
How such exquisite moments
Of perfection and tranquillity
Can be so easily forgotten

The sun that glistens down
Showering sparkling crystals
On the majestic ocean below

The moon that shines dazzlingly
Star-crossed lovers gaze up in awe
Painting its bright light upon the dark canvas

The snow in its icy cold splendour
Lightly tumbling from the sky above
Like a salt shaker, sprinkling on the surfaces below

Little things that make us smile
Brighten a shadowed day
Or ignite a burning desire in our hearts

Deep grandeur, emotions of warmth and joy
Must never be taken for granted
For the provide the missing pieces in our lives
Thus making our souls complete.
