Obsession

by heart_of_swords   May 11, 2006

It became an obsession,
The way she looked,
Her healthy body gone,
Replaced by protruding bones,
Sallow skin, limp hair,
The life in her eyes faded,
Her soul shadowed,
She didnt look human anymore,
She was so unhappy with the way she looked,
Everyone loved her,
For who she was,
Now her body is thin and frail,
Too weak to stand,
Tubes wired to her,
Forcing her to cling to life,
It was her that did that,
She did it to herself,
But I donâ??t blame her,
doesnt every girl want to be pretty?
To be skinny?
There is more people than the way they look,
But did anybody tell her that?
Didnt anybody show her that she was beautiful?
She tried to be thinner,
Tried to be prettier,
Now she will be scarred for life,
She has done so much damage to her body,
I can still remember the life in her eyes,
The fiery cascade of hair,
Now they are gone,
She will never be herself again,
The old her is gone forever,
Never to come back,
Because of an obsession.

if you know someone has a eating disorder then tell someone or do something about it cause if u dont help them then by the time they reach out for help it could be too late. and if u dont and something happens then u will blame yourself because u didnt do anything when you had the chance.
