The feeling of rejection and lost
ring in my ear
Like the bells of the church
I hear that tragic mourning
Smell the sweet roses
Fouled with the look of pity in their eyes
I guess it is time for good bye
To leave the past in the past and take the future a day at a time
To walk away and live everyday like I'm always okay
My friends know their is something wrong
But the truth is hidden behind the veil of pain I feel inside
Knowing something is wrong
But not what it is yet
I trace my fingers against the glass
The poor animals trapped there
Put in a cage to be gawked and stared at all day
But this happens to humans too
We all stare at people different then us and talk about how weird they are
We all look at people strangely sometimes
But imagine if it were you how
You would feel
Unless it has already happened to you
