Two Hands

TWO HANDS

We were young and those times
The way you smile, touch of your hands, the way it all shines
Pushing me, jumping me, shocking me
The charming ways you awoke me
I still remember that time we laughed till thunder stroke
The way you laughed so much you started to choke
You broke my favorite toy and I started to cry
The way you looked at me as if you felt to die
You were my air when I was drowning
You were my joy when I felt like frowning
Do you remember that day?
When you had something special to say
The words were so sweet you blew me far away
Through the beach we walked and you threw me
Into the cold water, there we danced as if we were free
You dried away the dripping tears
Like my shield you helped me face my fears
Your deep, dreamy, enchanting eyes
True... you were no pain, suffering or lies
But as we grew, we walked our own paths
Something separated us like flying darts
You never look at me the way you used to
Now when ever I see you
I have no idea who you are
I struggle to reach you; you are like a distant star
Like a ghost, I am no longer your special one
I cry, cry into the sky but why I just want to run
My little angel, sweet rose, warm sugar has faded away
Darkness talks as here on my lonely bed I lay
You have gone for sure and I felt us even more
I heard your footstep disappear into the distance as you closed my door
The days feel longer as if it drags onto me
The birds flutter, flowers sprout as it is spring I can see
People holding hands, laughing, singing and kissing
Here I sleep for eternal life feeling ever so blue
I hear a voice; one I hear so well, a voice so true
I see a smile, one I see like it was tomorrow
I feel a touch one I always felt when I was hollow
I smell an air that one I smelled so clear
I see your face watching as I sleep in fear
I feel your hands wiping away the old tear
I hear your voice soothing my broken ear
You leave me one last kiss
I cry, cry you to take me away into your bliss
You grab my hand one last time
Then I remember it all again like a bell in chime
Together, Forever
Don't you forget about us
What we were, who we were, and always will be
Two hands
