Naked

I feel as though I'm naked
exposed and revealed
you can see into my soul
see the scars have not yet healed
i feel as though I'm naked
right in front of you
i try to lie
but you can see the truth
i want to run and hide
not let anybody see
that the mask of phony happiness
isn't really me
your intense and staring eyes
seem to burn through my heart
i want to run away
but I'm frozen from the start
i feel as though I'm naked
walking in shame and fear
but the very funny thing is
it feels good when you are here
