Teenage Suicide

by Amy   Feb 14, 2004

Deryck was a punk
a kid from the street
he barely had clean clothes
let alone enough to eat
kicked out of his home
now wandering alone
no one knew him
no one wanted to
he made up his mind
on what he had to do
everyday he hated to wake
and yesterday they found
his body floating in the lake

Laura was a rich kid
went to the best of schools
hung with the right crowd
and followed every rule
she had to be so perfect
it was her only choice
her parents would disown her
if she dared even raise her voice
she tied the rope
around her neck
and stood up on a chair
and the next morning
a maid walked in to find
her body hanging there

Kaitlin had some problems
and everyone knew
she wanted to die
she didn't know what to do
on her 16th birthday
her boyfriend came around
he broke into tears
at what he had found
pounded on the wall
hard with his fists
stared at the pale girl
laying with slit wrists

Jason's dad hit him
and his mum had passed away
his dad blamed him for everything
every single day
he tried to be strong
take it like a man
protect his little sisters
and he never ever ran
but then one day
he made up his mind
he opened his eyes
as if he had been blind
he told his little sisters
go to your room and close the door
block your ears
so you cant hear anymore
he took his fathers gun
aimed it at its owners head
he fired so easy
and just like that
his dad was dead
now it was his turn
to his own head he turned it back
pulled the trigger
and everything went black

so many young teens
are lost this way
fed up with the world
and living everyday
if only they knew
that happiness lay just ahead
but now its too late for them
they are already dead.
