Shadow

by the one they all forgot   May 12, 2006

The same shadow that we learn to love, even in the dark it hugs. My shadow’s with me through thick or thin, it tells me not to sink, but swim. It dries my eyes when they cry tears, it teaches me to have not fears. It lifts me up when I am down, it me me turn up my frown. My shadow says I need no boy, that to them I’m just some silly toy. One day when I look down, my shadow was no longer on the ground. I move around to my objection, when I look up all I saw was a mirror, and my reflection.
