There is a place

by Brianna   May 12, 2006

There is a place
Where chameleons go
To feel safe
In polka dot skin

Where the time is endless
And the people change
To what they are
And what they’ve been

Here they find
That the trees are firm
Brightly colored
And shielding

There is no trouble
Distaste
Or distraction
Anger is of yielding

If faith is found
It is not here
For religion
Causes spoil

So here, forever
The fakers come
To delve, dwindle
And toil

The priceless perk
That keeps them coming
Is not
Of tourist attraction

But of
Desperate need
To escape inevitable
Abstraction

Please
Come one, Come all
False acceptance
Is sprawling

We want you
We need you
To follow
Our calling
