My Romeo and Juliet Story.. Revised3

by Love Fallacy   May 13, 2006

Lying in the church
I'm being kissed by the light
of an adjacent window.
Body temperature rises from
the heat of the ray. I say a few words
to ease my nerves and hope
that I will be forgiven.
This time my passionate conversation
I hold with Lucifer himself.
Lucifer, dark clouds have cast there shadow
Left has my dove, and now I shall depart
I speak with you because you will agree
with my choice. I can't handle rejection anymore

I'll take your pain and your soul can
remain with me. In my eyes you will be
forgiven. Pull the trigger and you and I
will walk hand and hand

Why won't she love me anymore?
Tear drops sound like falling bombs
and explode as they hit the ground.
Nerves are finally calm
and my pain escapes fast
out the side of my head. Lying dead
in the church the familiar man of black
prays over my body. Awakening by a kiss
I see your face.
Now those tears sound beautiful
and fall like feathers. You made the choice
and forever our love will last.
My Juliet and I her Romeo.
Apart we fall fast, together we grow strong.

Since you have this revised!! And I've read all three, by the way, they're really good.. How about writing a short story instead!!

Never thought about writing a story. Not sure if I would be to good at that. I was challenged by a professor to write outside my comfort zone with this poem so i did. Thanks for your comments, they mean a lot.
