Only one

*doesn't rhyme, but i like it that way*

i had a friend once
but the leash broke
and it ran away..
then i met you.

you sang back
the song in my heart
when i forgot the words

you agreed with me
that life was better
when our clothes didn't match
and boys had cooties..

you were always
always there for me

if you left,
i cant imagine life without you
you're my best friend
and forever it will stay.

this poem doesn't
rhyme,its more like a note
that i keep in my heart
not in my coat..
