Journey Rain

by LadyPearl   May 13, 2006

Stories flock in dreams
Flourish in the minds
Fearless as a tiger
A journey is revived

Come across a boulder
A fallacious way of life
The two paths emerges
Which way shall you strive

One way leads to emeralds
One way leads to gold
Another leads to illusions
Of all your stories told

Some leads to a forest
Lonely and forlorn
Others are just idle
Feeble life is born

A journey comes with rain
And shadows dwell within
Wanderers must face snow
And learn from their own sin

Our hands hold fate tight
Driving us to some place
Where only light can touch
The smiles of a face

A really deep powerful poem with an almost fantasy-esque feel to it. I really liked the use of imagery and progression that helped the reader to feel as if they are being taken upon the journey with the writer. Really great stuff. 5/5 x

This was really good I found reading this like a mini quest and as you laid out the decisions that life throws at us it made a lot of sense. It had an enchanting feel to it ...

For some reason my comment was cut off. I don't know why but I was meaning to say that your poem holds really powerful imagery to it. I wish I knew how my review was cut off because there was much more I wanted to say.

Your poem was first really deep, or maybe that's just the way I took it.
