Predator

by mookoo   May 14, 2006

Spills of blood run down my chin
sweet marrow dripping in my sin
as a soft call rises into a shriek
echoing like oneâ??s last call of weak

a defensive scratch runs down my cheek
a victim croaks in effort to speak
tear a thick stake through my heart
signaling my lifeâ??s ending in start

predatory I pass through the streets
the reflection of the moon cast discreet
with a swipe of my hand across my lips
leaving but thick red smears in drips

my teeth resilient silver against the night
stalking in the shadows, hidden from light
my cage enveloped in my eternity
forever in my youth and naivety

a black rose, poisonous to the touch
emotionless as it glows in aura of such
my prey, come as I sit at bay
relief me from the living before the day,

bathed in blood, consumed in my guilt
rid of me before anotherâ??s innocence is spilt
come as a brigade of torches ready to strike
dripping in crosses and holy wooden spikes

approaching in preparation to lynch
my wishes granted as I wrench
a brave soul charges and plunges it deep
screaming jests as your hate reap

never again will I have another silver kiss
a beauty drowning in hopes to be dismissed
never another kill or another chance
vivid streaming, my memories final dance...
