Long Goodbye

by Gemma   Feb 14, 2004

Here I am sitting in this chair
Knowing that it is not fair
I will be gone in a few minutes
Because I cant prove my innocence
My family will see me for the last time
Sitting here for a crime
A crime that I did not commit
So why am I here paying for it
They tighten the straps around my wrist
I let go of the Bible clenched in my fist
I can smell the leather on my face
I cant believe I'm in this place
Lord You know I've done nothing wrong
Be with my family when I'm gone
“Goodbye” to all of those I love
“I will see you again up above”
for the last time I see the clock
here I go to be with You Lord………… tic-tok
