My BedTime Prayer

Every night before I turn off the lights and go to bed,
I have a little prayer I say in my head,

"I pray to you oh Lord that mom will no longer cry,
My brother will get another try,
My mom’s bruises will get better,
Next time he won’t hit her,
I want to get to see my real dad,
To reminisce all of the little memories we had,
I hope that soon everything will be how it used to be,
And I will no longer have to hide what’s happening,
Lord, what did my family do to receive such suffering?,
Please I ask you shed your grace on us,
For through it all in you we still trust,
Please see things from our view,
And send us an angel to guide us through. Amen"
