Books scattered across long hallway
So far from my reach
Look down only to see you neatly piling them on my lap
And then you promised you were always there for me.
And back then, I didn't even know your name.
Door so hard to open
Almost impossible Struggling
Only to see your hand
Make my troubles seem so distant.
And back then, I couldn't even see your eyes.
I hope angels, still know, how to open doors.
You make a pretty good body guard conveniently located on my right shoulder
And that halo is handy
It holds the hair out of your eyes.
