Sweet Love

by Sarah Ann   May 14, 2006

Sweet love where do you linger?
Our paths have yet to cross,
Are you far beyond the willow tree?
Oh, how long have you been lost.

I beseech you; share with cupid
To have his arrow strike my soul,
Sweet love, are you his enemy?
Have you ever met at all?

I've searched beyond horizons,
Alas, so puzzling is you,
Sweet love I've yet discovered
That one part of you is true

I sought thee in on heaven's throne
And asked if love were there
Only a bitter sweetness whispered then
No you fool; go seek elsewhere
