In the darkness grim,
A light far and dim.
Coming closer to your face,
Locking feet in their place.
Willow branches snap,
Wings of birds flap.
Feel emotions take your heart,
Something exciting to take part.
As the light comes closer,
Feet begin to walk away.
All is well and done sir,
There is another day.
Walking along a riverbank,
Thou and all that thou art.
Something foul and stenchy stank,
Stopping feeling in heart.
Light dims fastly by,
Like a glisten in your eye.
Shoot into a running pace,
Light gets farther from face.
Stop to take a sudden breath,
Looking up into darkness.
All is gone and silent now,
In the distance a shuddering howl.
