Thank The Chimpanzee

Why do you think

you have to be the way you are?

So alone

So against the world?

Too bad you can't open your eyes and see

But your hair is in the way.

I'd like to ask you for your definition of different

But I can already tell

the answer is conformity.

So many people becoming; thinking they are something they aren't

They don't know what it is

to be unique.

A word a lie to closed ears

What's so intriguing about depression?

Suicide?

Dinosaurs?

Being cooler than everyone else?

Welcome to Emorica!

Now put on some black,

Make sure your hair is short and in your face

and more than 2 colors.

Listen to some boys sing about broken hearts and slit wrists

And then maybe

you will be able to tell me

why the world has suddenly

gotten so EMOtional.

You know, I would tell you how great your poem was and all, but to tell you the truth, I can't. There's wrong with being emo...most of my friends are either Goth or Emo, and I'm a cutter with depression. So really, I wanna tell you how great it is, 'cause it is a good poem, but still...
