Why Do I Hate Thee?

by Nate   May 15, 2006

Why do I hate thee?
I hate thee because you are different from me.
(Come to think of it though),
(Everyone is different from me, Whoa!)
I hate thee because I must,
It is my God of Love I only trust.
(Wait a minute, God of Love?)
(My hate comes from the dove?)
I hate thee because you are a Jew,
And I always give my God his just due.
(But was not Jesus a Jew?)
(Sounds like I am not being true.)
I hate thee because you pray to a different God,
If I could, I would beat you with a rod!
(Hold on, what about my forefather?)
(Did not they leave England because their religion was a bother?)
Let me see, oh yeah I hate you for your holy war,
You should listen to us and we will tell you more.
(Although, I do believe the Crusaders were bloody too.)
(We called it a Holy War against those who were not true.)
Well why do I hate thee so?
Heck to tell the truth, I really do not know!!!
