Even Though..

Even though you tell me she is prettier than I,
For whom at night, does you heart truely cry?

While alone at night, wishing she'd be in your reach,
Whose voice is it you hear, when to god you do preach?

For how long was she at your side, when you were in trouble past your bounds,
Was it her not myself, that picked you up off the ground?

For I do deeply believe, I am more of a woman that this girl,
Shall you dare to tell me, that she means to you the world?

You have always been the kind of man, who rubs my flaws in like you don't even care,
But for just the other night, when you were in need was it her or I that was there?

Upon which standards shall you look me in the eye and say,
You don't mean anything to me, now please go away?

You know as well as I do, that I shall risk my life for you,
But when the going gets tough, shall she stand tall by yourself, as I do?

Would she stand up to the law, and get herself kicked out of a dance,
Just to show you, on how high of a standard you do stand?

For you would she risk it? About anything else would she care,
Would she adjust her schedule and add plans, if she knew you would be there?

Would she lose friends, and break trusts, just to grow a bond closer to thee,
I would say she shall not, she's not as devoted as I shall be.
