What is worse to lose?

She didn't know just what to do
Her thoughts were too much to handle
Nothing made sense anymore
This life seemed to be nothing but a scandal

She lay in her bed many nights
Trying to find a way out
She knew she couldn't just kill herself
There were too many people she still cared about

But something had to be done
Someone needed to stop her
Tears welled up as she wondered
"Who would do this to their daughter"?

Her siblings don't really notice
And she could never tell her dad
So what is there left to do?
Must she live this life always sad?

The pain is hard to bare
When you're torn between what you love and hate
She can't make a choice without getting hurt
And there's no middle ground to create

She needs to choose now
It's one or the other
Living somewhere on her own
Or having to stay with her mother

There's so much she has to give up
In whatever she will choose
It's either her loved ones or herself
Which one is she prepared to lose?
