Ever-Afters Whisper

by Karen Simpson   May 15, 2006

Wandering feet parading through life
Pitifull voices complaining of strife
One strum of life is all it takes
Before a content way of life shakes

One whisp of fire causes it to start
Warming a once stone cold heart
I single flower plucked from the park
Sets beauty and manipulation apart

A single flickering candle glows
Emotions and thoughts almost lost show
Unveiled and open the girl sings a song
How life keeps her moving slowly on

Fling life's precious charished moments
And all of those wise, insightful comments
Memories do not keep you moving on
But Ever-Afters whisper -- Come
