I'm Lost without You

by Elizabeth   May 15, 2006

Can't stop thinkin of you
You're runnin' though my head
Aren't your feet tired yet?

Nah, prolly not.
After all, you do this to me every night.
So why stop now?

I stay awake at night...starin and thinkin at the ceiling.
That's right. Thinkin
That was my mistake. When I was with you, I wasn't thinkin. But I should've been.
Oh well.

You broke me down until I was nothing at all.
But did you care?
Nah, you just walked away...
Now, I'm just a boy, laying on his bed, with a sweaty t-shirt on.
And I go through the same thing
Night.
After night.
After night....

The sun's rising now...
It's morning already?
Huh.
Not one wink of sleep.
Can you believe it?
But that's what you do to me.
You're like a disease, that can't be cured.
That's how deadly you are, that how much you intoxicated me.

But what can you do when the person you loved and trusted the most, hurts you the worst?
Absolutely Nothing.

So this is what I do.
Hour after hour.
I think...to make up for all the times I wasn't,
Until the sun comes up, and chases the shadows away.
This is my new life.
Without you.
