The Deadly Sin of Lust

by Carrie Mae   May 16, 2006

The deadly sin of lust, lingers across thy lips

In the silver reflected frame, lies a painting of your envy

The green swirls around the thriving blue, echoing what seems to be left unsaid

A devious smile, and a glare that will forever imprint dances across my face

A heart flames the colors hell portrays as light

The red strays apart from the shimmering yellow

His words buzz through my mind and leave me high

Nibbling on his lower lip, and watching his eyes widen

Heat draws them, but tnesion rises high

The touch of his hands burns as they grasp her shoulders

She feels his exhale on her neck as she breathes in his scent of cinnamon

The imprint of his kiss shivers on her forehead

And she ponders as all blurs away

Her eyes flash open and her dream of love has ended

The reality of his abscence rushes in return

Filling the crivices of her mind.
